Jo'el hails from Indianapolis, Indiana, and is the nephew of South American singer/actress Cecilia Bracamonte. While he has a rather large local fan base in his home town,  his music has reached listeners in Taiwan, Peru and Colombia,  South America,  and the east and west coasts of the United States. Jo'el is a passionate vocalist.  He has made great sacrifices to bring his music to the public. His big break began as he was chosen to star in the production "Trio of Minuet". This was the very first Indianapolis based opera, which aired on the local public broadcasting station. Jo'el was also selected to sing backup and tour with Dennis De Young, formerly of Styx. When Mr. Deyoung heard Jo'el's voice he knew he was a talent worthy of showcasing. It was then that Jo'el realized he was not content to remain in the background. He then journeyed to Nashville, where he studied with celebrity vocal coach and artist developer Renee Grant Williams, who has worked with Miley Cyrus,  Carrie Underwood, Christina Aguilera, and Tim McGraw, just to name a few. Wishing to link country music to his Hispanic roots, Jo'el works to write original lyrics which will reach all ethnic backgrounds. His song “ You Don‘t Need Me”  placed first in its category in the Nashville Song Service 2009 lyric writing contest. Since then, Jo'el has been busy gettin ready to make this the year of his solo debut. Jo'el also recieved yet another award for his songwriting abilities! His song, "Well I Never" was submitted to the Paramount Music Contest. Each year the Director of the Contest is able to choose a song of his or her choice that best embodies the image in which they are searching. Jo'el was contacted and given the Director's Award for Paramount Music Contest 2010! But wait..there is more!
